The Chamber is a non-profit voluntary professional organization associating primarily interpreters for the Deaf, the hard of hearing and those who have lost hearing. The chamber welcomes all professional sign language interpreters regardless of their hearing status. People who are not professional interpreters themselves but are interested in the Deaf issues, culture and language, agree with Chamber’s viewpoints and support its activities can also become members.

The Chamber is administrated by interpreters for other interpreters, so the logo (two hands with one line) is not just about Sign Language but also about connecting people: to each other, to the public... and sharing a safe space together. The logo was handdrawn but precise so that it matches with the Chamber’s tone of voice: professional but welcoming.
